Latest update -
March 2008
New Project - New Pages
Notice a new navigation button on the left there: It links to the result of nearly two years work for a small group of us, and is hopefully the start of an exciting new ventures involving movies made from old 35mm and 16mm film about local events, uncovered in the local library’s archives. It has cost us quite a lot of money which we hope to recuperate from local (and international!!) sales. Anyway, it keeps us busy - and will continue to keep us busy for some time to come !
Other new Links
Hopefully all the outdated links have now been cleared. If I’ve missed a bad link, please let me know, What’s my email address? Well, to give that out here is to ask for another 200 spams a day. Try ‘mike at’ the website address. That should do it. In the meantime, here’s a reminder of one or two new links added to the list which could be of interest to you ...
Best VideoMaker - this is a ‘commercial’ site but it also carries interesting articles about specific aspects of film and video making. Worth checking out!
Motcombe-Relf Music - A superb resource for very inexpensive Royalty Free Music. Currently a mere £10 a disc for around an hour’s worth of music - rising to £12 in 2009 (so get yours early!) - the music spans an extremely wide variety of genres, styles and tempos, and has been specially written for videographers. It is (I believe) keyboard generated, but with a good wave-table or sound font you won’t be disappointed. Visit the site now - here - and have a listen to the vast range available. I’m sure you’ll find impressive sounding music suitable for your movies - and at just £10 a disc (if you hurry!), how can you go wrong?!
Declic Video Started out with downloadable HFX transitions, but has since grown to become a good resource for HFX, Studio and Prodad programs, with useful tips and tutorials.
OVFM - Orpington Video and Film Makers - how could I resist adding this top flight club to the list! Probably the largest in the South of England - if not in the UK - and definitely very active in making fine movies, they meet regularly every fortnight, so if you’re ever in the area check it out!
