Briefly... I am a writer, having started at a very early age (yep, that’s a picture
of me over back in 1934!), and now long retired from the joys of writing advertisements
for TV, radio and press. Nevertheless, I still knock out the occasional article,
and make videos just for the heck of it. Married (second time around) with seven
children and eight grandchildren between us, living on the London / Kent borders
in the UK. Some years back I became a member of the IAC (Film & Video Institute),
won quite a few Trophies and awards at local, National and International festivals
for my silly movies, and am now a Fellow of the Society. I’ve run through the gamut
of video editors, starting with Pinnacle Studio 200 and 400 through to Studio 9,
moving up to Liquid until that went pear shaped, and then moved on to Avid Media
Composer (currently using Version 6) - which is unquestionably the most powerful
of all editors. I work in the mess you see in the picture below ... The rest of
my ‘studio’ being devoted to books, building models of galleons, books, CDs, and
more books. The rest is even more boring, so I’ll spare you the agony...
The quiet corner in my ‘studio’ where I do my video editing . Quiet, that is, until
I press the wrong key...
