Adding a Title to the HFX Wedding Album
The Wedding Albums in HFX make fine transitions - and filters - but wouldn’t it be
so much better if one could add a title (created in a photo editing program, like
Paint Shop Pro or Photo Shop) to the Album cover ... And maybe re-arrange the way
the Album opens so that the effect can be used as the intro title to a movie. Yes,
it would be better - and its fairly easy to do.
To prepare for the effect, create the title in a space of roughly 720x520 in your
favourite photo editor. The best way is to also add a mask to mask out the background
- so only the lettering (or whatever you choose) shows, save the mask to the alpha
channel (the photo editor’s help files will explain how - or there’s a guide to doing
that in the Animated Stills tutorial), then save your work as an uncompressed TGA
or PNG file. Once you’ve done that, you’re ready to add the title to the wedding
album. The movie here shows how - (Note: This demo uses the Liquid interface for
Hollywood FX - but all the controls etc. are in the same places as for the Studio
interface.
