The World’s Top Tips for

Pinnacle Studio Video Editing software

(with some Avid Liquid snippets)

And here's some more really good news ... if you're a registered user, the download for this version is free!  If you're not already a user (and why not - this is the best little 3D Titling program around!) then it'll cost you less than 40 Euros to join the 'club' .  For the record - you can create motion backgrounds with it as well as stunning titles).

Go have a look for yourself - and download a trial version here

wpa5ae1fef.gif Bluff Titler has won fame throughout the video editing world. And frankly, that isn't surprising - it  opens a whole new world of creativity not just for titling, but also for motion backgrounds.  The easiest way to discover the incredible power of this titler is, quite simply, to go and download the trial version for yourself, and have a look at the 100 or so demo titles included - covering virtually every possibility the program offers. I will almost guarantee you'll be buying it - and at around £25 in English money, you'll have spent your money well.

This is no ordinary titler - in fact, it is probably better labelled as a title animator.  Whatever animation you wished you could add to your titles - this will almost certainly do it, easily, accurately, quickly.  The program users layers - you can have layers for Lights, Text, Pictures, Videos, Plasma displays and Particle displays and so on - and more than one layer per item, if you want.  Each layer can be individually controlled - there is an incredibly large variety of options and controls available covering practically everything imaginable, including the morphing of pictures and added videos to a variety of shapes. The choice is pretty overwhelming at first. Best of all though, in my opinion, is the fact that every layer can be keyframed ... so you can really create the most complex title animations.  The text, of course can be extruded, twisted letter by letter, rotated, it can be shiny silver, gold or any colours or texture you want - including your own graphic files, it can have hairs or spikes growing from it, it can drip blood or gooey grunge ...the possibilities are infinite, the potential endless.  Bluff Titler also provides an extensive range of controllable and adjustable Particle or Plasma motion backgrounds - but, since you can load in videos as well - with JellyPie's Video Fun Box also in your armoury, you can have any motion background you want.

It took me less than ten minutes to decide that I wanted this program in my armoury (without the registration key, all your titles will be watermarked).  I don't think it will take you long to come to the same decision either.

Review Update...

Version 6 is currently available - with a vast range of new features and improvements.  This program just keeps getting better and better . it seems that hardly a month goes by without a new update to this powerful titler - and the beauty is, updates are often further improvements to its already powerful features - and whether point or integer updates, cost nothing to registered purchasers of the program. A lifetime of updates for just under 39 euros (about $50 US) - if only all programs worked that way!

BluffTitler's capabilities have increased considerably over the past year or so - one can introduce 3d models, it can have Dynamic Content (meaning it could be turned, for example, into an RSS reader or used for internet controlled interactive applications). Your own audio and video files can be added. And there are plug-ins now that enable, for example, the ever popular handwriting effect to be created as well as a path for text to move over. That add-on is called Bixelangelo - and is very reasonably priced at just under 20 euros.  There's also an add-on that lets you create panoramic views from a variety of input formats, and a 'photo book' plug in that produces an animated 'photo album' from your pics, with effects and so on.  And your photo album can be exported into Studio for further work and DVD authoring.  Again, whilst it is essentially a titler, BluffTitler can also be used to produce motion backgrounds. Have a look at the website (here), and you'll see numerous stunning examples of creativity provided by users of BluffTitler demo'd, as well as the few hundred or so that come with the program.

The program operates a little differently from most 'Windows' applications, but nevertheless is fairly straightforward once you understand the underlying structure - it uses (unlimited) layers, each layer representing one feature (text, lighting, audio, 'plasma' etc etc), and each layer is associated with numerous appropriate property controls - any and all of which can be keyframed independently from the rest. Many of the layers can also have other special effects applied to them - you could add a plasma or particle layer to a text layer, for example, to give a dripping blood effect.  I'm so impressed with this program (... no, I'm not going to buy the company!") - I'm seriously considering an interactive primer/tutorial for it.  But, it has to be said that the on-line help files are pretty good.  So ... it is just a consideration.
